In the early 1970s a Dutch importer named Andries Gaastra was looking for frames that could take a Dutch winter, Dutch roads, and Dutch stubbornness. He found his answer far away, in the workshops of Miyata in Japan, a company that had been drawing steel tubes since the age of the rifle barrel.
What followed was rare: not a licence deal, but a genuine conversation. Dutch designers brought the geometry, the daily-riding sense, together with the demand that a bike must still work after twenty wet winters. Japanese frame builders brought brazing so patient you can still run a thumb along a forty-year-old lug and feel nothing but a clean line.
Koga Miyata was the result. Frames light enough to race, honest enough to shop with, designed with a two-nation mindset and built with a care that simply does not happen anymore.

A bike only reaches the shop floor once it has gone through all four steps. It takes us weeks per bike. It is the whole reason the shop exists.
Attics, estate sales, and old Hague garages. We only take Koga Miyata steel that is straight and honest.
Everything comes off. The frame is cleaned, dents assessed, chrome polished, paint saved wherever the original still has soul.
New bearings, cables, chain, tyres and brake pads. Period-correct parts where it matters, modern safety parts where it counts.
Every bike does a full loop through the city before anyone rents it. If we would not ride it home, it does not go out.
We do not rent hourly or daily. We also do not sell directly.
We prefer the riders finds the right bike after renting out.
Our bikes are made to become part of your life which you really satisfied with.
